Tara Valley, the driving force behind Environmental Services Group, ventured into the environmental science realm as a Home Inspector including a mold inspection service known as www.moldinspections.ca before founding ESG in 2007. Recognizing the critical need for specialized air quality services, Tara channeled her passion into building a company that stands at the forefront of indoor air quality management.

Under her leadership, ESG has not only mastered comprehensive air quality assessments but also extended its expertise to include hazardous material and hygiene assessments. Tara is dedicated to continuously advancing ESG’s reach into new sectors, leveraging her extensive experience from conducting thousands of property inspections and assessments to ensure that community health and safety are at the core of every project.

With a rich history spanning over 15 years as a part-time associate, Lawrence Kurtz has officially joined Environmental Services Group as our dedicated Occupational Hygienist and Health and Safety Specialist. Bringing over 25 years of experience within Ontario’s health and safety prevention system, Lawrence’s expertise encompasses a wide range of critical areas. From exposure assessment to intricate disease investigations involving legionellosis and occupational cancers, his skill set is extensive. Lawrence’s background includes pivotal roles at IHSA and PSHSA, and 16 impactful years as an Occupational Hygienist at WSIB. His capabilities extend to worker training, accident prevention, and evaluating processes, with a special focus on hand-transmitted vibration exposure. Lawrence’s comprehensive knowledge enhances ESG’s capacity to serve diverse industries with unique services, pushing the boundaries of industrial hygiene in Canada.
